Rachel Smith, Owner of Razmataz Salon, always had the dream of opening a salon geared totally to quality in all aspects of hair - and of course 100% customer satisfaction.

Rachel was born in Plymouth, England. She completed her training in an in-depth five year apprenticeship, becoming dedicated to the all-important quality ethic common to English-trained hairdressers.

Rachel's training was earned in five of England's most prestigious salons, spiced with the creative challenges of the many competitions she entered - in one such challenge in London's famous Hippodrome, judged by Anthony Mascallo (co-owner of Toni and Guy), she earned 12th place, above many hundreds of the industry's best stylists.

From the competitions she graduated into the world of photo shoots and fashion shows, also building a loyal clientele along the way.

Luckily for us her ambitions led her into managing and efficiently running, luxury spas aboard Cruise Ships.

Rachel moved to Georgetown in 1998 and we know her from some of the great salons in the area.

Always striving for something new and exciting she found the perfect place, in the quaint, old and beautiful part of historic downtown Georgetown - and gave us Razmataz.

Rachel Says:

" I always dreamed of owning a building downtown and creating a salon that greets you with warmth and happiness when you walk through its doors."

Dreaming became a reality in 2004. I am so happy to say I have a wonderful, professional, well educated team that never fail to amaze me with their continued education and knowledge of color and precision cutting.
